Sabbatical

Howdy, a.nolen readers!

I’ve decided to take a break from blogging to condense my posts into book form. I don’t know when I’ll be finished with the manuscript, so if you’re interested in being notified on its completion, please comment ‘notify me’ to this post, and I’ll contact you via whatever confidential contact info you leave. (Emails, etc will not be viewable by the public.)

It’s been a lot of fun and I appreciate your readership!

Please notify me. Is an archive available somewhere? Thank you.

I’ll notify. I’ve not put up an archive but if you’re interested in any info in particular I can send you a copy of articles in question.

This makes me sad. I just recently discovered this website. Thank you for the extremely valuable work you’ve shared.

Notify me. Would you email me a copy of the posts discussing the CIA’s managed leaks and its relationship with Playboy? I hope you are not offline because you received an offer you couldn’t refuse.

    • anolen

Those are a lot of posts. The pertinent information on Playboy’s CIA ties can be found in Alfred McCoy’s 1992 version of The Politics of Heroin. Is there a particular manged leak you’re interested in?

  10. Notify me. Can you send me the L. Ron Hubbard article you had up there recently? I just found out about your blog, bummer. If you do interviews let me know I would enjoy having you on as a guest. Thank you.

Are there any other good sites/blogs out there like this that we could read in the meantime?

    • anolen

Thanks for your kind words. I’m unaware of any other sites which take quite the same perspective I do; neither am I affiliated with any other writers. However, if you google a.nolen or anolen you’ll probably still be directed to sites that liked my work enough to link to it.

Interesting article. Seems to me that the ‘demonic’ is a poetic description of those who are essentially trying to undermine the free will of others.

John, on further reflection you may be interested in reading the first chapter of Krafft-Ebings Psychopathia Sexualis, where he considers the connections between religious hysteria and hyper-sexual behavior. Sex is really not the issue here, the issue is immature attitudes toward other people persisting beyond puberty– in other words, narcissism. There’s something about mystery cults and secret knowledge that really appeals to people who see others as objects to be used.

Any update on when the blog will be back, or if you’re close to finishing your book?

    • anolen

Well, coming back to the blog now would be death to the book. I just don’t have the hours in the day. And sadly, the book is not yet finished.

The good news is that in tying together the various ‘threads’ from my blog, the “systems of control” work, the music biz stuff and the history of modern intelligence services, I stumbled on a lot of new material which, amazingly, explains the genesis of the psychological ideas which underpin these ‘threads’. I’ve had to bone up on the military and medical history of Europe to flesh out this etiology of modern ‘mind control’ and that takes a lot of time to do properly. I’m also taking care to do my peer review prior to the publishing of the entire work and that’s also slow going.

So the bad news is that the book isn’t going to be out any time soon. I have a contact email for you– keep me abreast if it changes– and I will let you know when it’s available. I appreciate your interest, and I promise you that it will be worth the wait.
